Well it's been a long long long...   long while since I've even touched this thing.  Originally I think my only purpose for using this was to make updates as I was travelling through Europe.

Feels a bit weird using this Xanga account for anything else.  So I figure I'll just make a totally new account.

check it out if you want.

I'll try to update it more frequently.  As opposed to having a whole year pass.

Just more of my rambling...

I haven't used this weblog for ages.

much has happenned since my last entry.   Saw some old friends around Thanksgiving, A good friend got married, and had a HUGE loveboat reunion over the New Year in Vancouver/Whistler.   The pics are many.   But I haven't had a chance to REALLY go through them all yet.

But fortunately I did manage to make an Ofoto Album of some pics of interest a month or 2 ago.
It's been almost 6 months since I came back from Europe.
And I DID promise pics.
After gathering all the pics from my travelling companions.  I numbered and organised them all.  But I haven't figured out to show them to you all.
'Cause the running total right now is around 5000.     No jokes.  Five Thousand!!..
You see the problems I have.

Well as a consolation.  I personally had around 500 pics (On a ghetto film camera) But that's still too many.  So I condensed it into a measly 170 into Ofoto.  It's a really really condensed form.  Just copy and paste the link below.
I'll consider putting more up if the demand is there.

Cheers..   and enjoy.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of Absinthe?

Have you heard of the Green Fairy?

Well this is one of the treasures I have brought back from overseas.

I hear in many places it's still not legal to have it.

Way back in the day, people used to drink this stuff all the time because it was way cheaper to get than beer or wine at the time.  The problem with the drink was that they had no regulations as to how potent you could make it and the side effects included hallucinations and insanity.   People would start going crazy and chop their ears off like Van Gogh.   Apprarntly Van Gogh drank alot of Absinthe himself.
I'm sure if you drink enough, you start believing you're actually seeing the Green Fairy.
Because of this they banned the drink everywhere.
But in recent times places are gradually lifting the ban but have strict regulations as to how potent you are allowed to make it.  I got my bottle in Austria which legalized it again in 1998.
It's made from several "herbs" mostly wormwood oil.
The alcohol content is 50% volume, 0.7 litre.

On the box it suggests for you to pour the drink over sugar cubes into a glass.  Then use a match and light the sugar cubes on fire and then stir the sugar into the drink.   There is enough alochol to actually light the sugar on fire.  I just found it funny they had step by step instructions and photos showing us how we are to do this.

It just blows my mind that people would actually drink this stuff.

They all must be crazy.

Oh yeah.  by the way.  It tastes like mint.   Truuust me.    heh...heh...

2 out of 4.  not bad.   Hagia Sophia is a good answer in a different sense.  but unfortunately i didn't make it that far east.
the prize is on its way...

to tell you the truth, i went around all over Europe to get these pictures. it was a mini mission of mine.

alright. i'll have real pictures once i've sorted them all out.
there's just so many...

***edit***
as i was sorting some pictures today, i found one more that goes with my mini mission theme.  i don't think anybody can figure this one out.

ok.  Here's some pics to see.
Who thinks they can tell me what each picture is about.

Starting with the first 2.....

here's the next pic....

one more....

and the last 2........

I think only 1 or maybe 2 people know what I'm talking about.

I guess whoever can give me the answers I'm looking for can win the prize (If I even have one).
